At QRS Auto Service, we have embraced this new development in our industry and have undertaken training at the IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) with one of our technicians already having reached the highest level of qualification, and the others soon to follow suit.
We’ve also invested heavily in our workshop so that it meets the required standards to ensure our technicians can work safely and effectively on EV and hybrid cars including setting aside a dedicated area for working on electric vehicles and using specialist rubber-tipped tools.

Absolutely, we stick to manufacturer repair and servicing specifications so that any warranty on your vehicle remains intact. We can work on most makes and models of electric cars, vans and light commercial vehicles up to 3.5t.
Yes, as with petrol and diesel cars, electric cars need an MOT after they are three years old however, the difference is that they don’t need emissions tests. QRS Auto Service is a DVSA-approved MOT testing centre so do get in touch if you have any questions regarding EV MOT tests.
